Yak wool has been used since ancient times, but is still relatively unknown in the Western world. The yak cattle live at high altitudes in the Himalayan mountains in unimaginably harsh winter conditions.

The double coat, of which the undercoat is used for our clothing, has a particularly high insulating capacity. In addition, yak wool is a strong, non-pilling and antibacterial fiber that is dirt and water repellent.

The yarns of our yak products are not bleached or dyed. These products have the eco label and are certified organic by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mongolia. ANTOON yak wool cardigans are produced exclusively for us in small-scale productions.

ANTOON uses fine and soft wool that comes from the cashmere goat. The goat comes from the Kashmir region in the Himalayas.

This type of wool is certified according to The Good Cashmere
Standard® (GCS). This is an independent standard for sustainable cashmere, developed by the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF), which aims to improve the welfare of cashmere goats, the lives of farmers and farming communities, and the environment.

The cashmere comes from the undercoat of the goat. This is separated from the stiffer upper coat, washed and then spun into threads. A protective air layer is created between the curly hairs. This layer of air ensures that the fabric provides excellent insulation.

Cashmere: comfortable, warm and soft.

ANTOON wool is high-quality virgin wool. The wool naturally has a self-cleaning character and therefore only needs to be washed sporadically. Hanging out in a damp environment is sufficient in most cases.

Our printed scarves are made of 100% wool. The wool collection of sweaters and cardigans consists of a rich combination of wool and organic cotton.

The entire production process of the organic cotton is in accordance with the Organic 100 Content Standard. The material is an environmentally friendly, natural and pollution-free. The agricultural chemicals, heavy metals, nitrates, pesticides and other harmful substances are controlled within the organic standard.

Linen is a quality that can be found all year round at ANTOON .

Linen is a hygienic and comfortable material. The fabrics are soft and supple, but also strong and durable. A linen fabric has high insulating properties. It absorbs moisture well, which ensures a pleasant and fresh feeling when worn on hot days.

Silk is a recurring fabric in the ANTOON collections. This soft shiny fabric gives a luxurious feel. This beautiful material is known for its specific texture, elasticity, absorbency and strength, and therefore sustainable nature.

ANTOON T-shirts are made of certified PIMA cotton, a soft, heat-regulating, slightly shiny cotton. It is up to 50% stronger than standard cottons.

The strong Pima plants have an excellent resistance that makes the use of pesticides superfluous. Pima is a world of difference compared to standard cotton and a treat for the skin.

Bamboo knits have pleasant thermal properties. Cool in summer and warm in winter. Textiles made from bamboo do not irritate, are antibacterial and absorb up to 60% more moisture than cotton.

Socks made of bamboo therefore stay fresh for longer. Bamboo is sustainable; it grows very fast, needs little water and no pesticides. Bamboo is an inexhaustible, environmentally friendly resource that regenerates itself from the root. A nice alternative to cotton.
