Our double breasted skipper coat, also called 'Pea Coat', is made of a strong wool blend with a soft hand. The jacket closes with 6 buttons, has two side pockets and a matching lining with an inner pocket.
According to an article by the British maritime magazine 'The Mariner's Mirror' from 1975, the term 'Pea Coat' comes from the Dutch word 'pijjekker' or 'pijjakker', where 'pij' is the name of the woolen fabric from which this coat is made state.
